This is not a review, I'm just thinking out loud! (Possible spoilers, beware!) So I just got back from seeing Amaluna and I have to say I was seriously impressed I deliberately didn't research anything about the show, I wanted to go in completely blind and ignorant (this isn't something I've experienced with a cirque show before and I wanted to see how it would feel to not know ANYTHING other than the basic theme.) The show got off to an amazing start when Cali was warming up the audience and touched my face, so I've been fangirling over that ever since. I was super super impressed with the balance goddess. I can't remember the last time I've seen anything so bizarre, hypnotic and awesome - you could have cut the tension in the theatre with a knife. Other acts that stood out as particularly awesome to me were the aerial straps tempest, the hoop diving and of course the juggling act. Especially when he was literally juggling with fricking FIRE! Can't imagine why every review in the UK that I've seen has been more negative than usual. Although this is pretty typical, as the UK always gives pretty bad reviews. Snobs. Has anyone else seen it? I'd be interested to compare opinions with people who saw it before it changed.

I saw it in Miami The only downside was at the end the lift broke so the music kept playing at the finale and instead of doing the final celebration the performers shrugged and walked off then they went to bows. I spoke to viktor after and he said they didn't have a protocol for that so they just finished the show.

Oh wow! Yeah you win sounds like an amazing experience. I love the 'show must go on' mentality of the performers.
